DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY!
Several months ago I stopped off at this store for the first time. They advertised a program for local residents to buy one of their bottles and get it refilled once a month. Sounds like a good idea, right? A week later I decide to join the club, so I drive back to the store only to find they are out of bottles. "We'll have more in on Sunday." I drive back on Sunday. No bottles. "They'll be here Tuesday for sure." Learning my lesson the first time, I now call instead of driving over. No bottles. For TWO MONTHS I called inquiring about this bottle. Either my messages were not returned, or if I was fortunate to get a live person, I was told, "They're definitely going to be here next week!" FOR TWO MONTHS! At this point I assumed this company wasn't interested in having my business.
Yesterday I decided to try again. I look up on their website to confirm what time they open. 10:30 daily. I arrive about 10:35 to a locked door and no one there. I decide to wait a bit, because surely someone will be there any second to open up, right? 11:00. No one there. I call home to check whether I had misread the opening time. 10:30 daily. At this point, I'm pissed and decide to wait to see just how long it takes for someone to show up. About 11:35 a truck rolls into the parking lot and a guy gets out of his truck and asks if I'm "waiting for that store in particular?" (It's the ONLY store there!) "Yeah. And I've been waiting since 10:30 when your website says you open! I've just about given up on trying to do business with you people!" So instead apologizing for being late, the guy gets defensive and chooses to get into a *** match with me by chasing me over to my car giving me some B.S. line, "Like you've never slept in and gone in to work late I suppose?" Umm...I don't have a business whose survival depends on providing customer service to customers attempting to buy my product at the times I advertise I am open! I snapped at this point in response to his smart-*** attitude, and said, "I tried for TWO F-ING MONTHS to buy your *** bottles, and all I got were lies and false promises!" He replied, "Are you the guy that kept calling? Well, this is MY F-ING COMPANY, AND I CAN OPEN ANY TIME I FEEL LIKE IT!" Realizing there is no point in trying to communicate with this cretin, I get in my car to leave. He presses his face to the window and shouts, "YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE?! YOU ARE A WHINY F-ING ***!" Seriously? HE is over 60 minutes late to work! HE doesn't return calls. HE has lied to me for two months about product he assures me will be available! And now he's calling ME names?!! What is he? A ten year old girl?
Let me offer up some customer service suggestions for discussion. Instead of attacking a POTENTIAL, RECURRING CUSTOMER, he should have apologized profusely for being late! He's good at lying! Tell me he ran out of gas and had to walk 10 miles uphill in the snow to get there! He should have offered me two months of free olive oil just for my persistence at trying to bring him business! Anybody who is this poor of a business person does not deserve your business! He did EVERYTHING WRONG. What's that they say about a happy customer telling two friends, and a dissatisfied customer telling HOW MANY people? Know that I will be retelling this encounter every chance I get, and posting this on every consumer review site I can find! Let's see who the whiny F-ing *** is then! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY!
